    The type of beam expander is derived from the Galilean telescope with usually has one positive output lens. The input lens presents a virtual beam focus at the output. For low expansion ratios, the Galilean telescope is most often employed due to its simplicity, small package size, and low cost. So it is widely used in industrial laser marking/engraving and the cutting system where the requirement to the laser beam quality is very critical.What’s more , it could be used for long-distance lighting or projection, as well as focusing systems.

    The advantages of the beam expander are as follows:
    By expanding a beam prior to focusing, smaller spot size can be obtained.
    Expanding the beam diameter and reducing the divergence angle of the laser beam.
